Terri Andreozzi

Terri fell in love with JourneyDance™ in 2008. While going through a rough patch in her personal life, her therapist suggested that she check out Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.  It was at their noon Yoga Dance class that changed the trajectory of her life.  That weekend’s class offering was JourneyDance™ and was led by the creator, Toni Bergins. The synergy and the energy in the room was transformative.  There was magic in releasing stressful and negative energy. This is where her healing journey began.

Fast forward to 2020-2022, her dreams of becoming a JourneyDance™ Apprentice and Guide came true when the certification classes were taught online.  In April 2023, she got certified as a JourneyDance™ Facilitator which allows her to lead workshops in the area of consciousness, healing, transformation and creativity.  In 2023, she also collaborated with four other JourneyDance™ facilitators to form the collective Empower Thru Movement.  Although ETM is now sunsetted, it was an amazing start to beautiful friendships.

Some of her latest projects include co-facilitating JourneyDance™ at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Survivor Conference in Cleveland in 2022; leading a senior dance with the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt; co-hosted an online class with ETM for International Woman’s Day; hosted a JourneyDance™ session at the New York Independent Living Association conference in September 2023; co-hosted with ETM for the Women’s March in January 2024 with an online Rise-Up dance.

Fast forward to 2025, Terri joined forces with Jaime Kelley to facilitate online JourneyDance™ classes once a month. She also got certified as a Laughter Yoga Leader and offers free “pop-up” classes in and around Rockland County. This summer she spent Saturday mornings at the Pearl River Farmers Market bringing awareness to this fun modality of wellness. She also participates in yoga festivals, college family fun days, corporate team building, conferences and wellness retreats.

Terri is passionate about spreading the magic of helping people move stuck energy out of their bodies to make room for the great life they are meant to live. Her new motto is “selfish joy” and that as individuals, we need to be selfish with finding our JOY and be very protective of that which brings us happiness. There is so much to be grateful for if we take the time to find it.

  • "I didn’t expect to feel so much emotions in the movement."

  • "I felt awkward, but decided to “lean into” the awkwardness. Grief is awkward much of the time; this class gave me another tool to help me in my grief."
